Entre las Grietas – Between the Cracks. Director and Choreographer. Colaboaration beween the UI International Writers Program and the Department of Dance. Barragan, decided to go farther and created a virtual international, collaborative and interdisciplinary project. For the second time he challenge himself to choreograph and direct on Zoom. Taking the lead in editing with the collaboration of Hector Lara.

The American College Dance Association second annual National Screendance Festival. Building on the momentum we gained in our inaugural year, we look forward to another year of programming, sharing, viewing and adjudicating screendance. This educational event festival was in a virtual conference format over the course of two weeks.

Is the exploration of celebration of the arts of dance and cinema through productions, education and events. Producing two festivals: 1. CAPITOL Dance & Cinema Festival (Washington, DC), 2. CASCADIA Dance & Cinema Festival (Vancouver, BC)
• Virtual Dumbo Dance Festival. New York City 2022
The VDDF Gala opening heralds the most anticipated four-day festival of the contemporary dance in the greater New York City region. Featuring sensational contemporary dance companies from: Hyonok Kim Dance Arts, Buglisi Dance Theater, Barkin/Selissen Project, and three of the most eclectic companies from South Korea. Chagmu centerkds/KIM/MEA JA, UBIN Dance/Ha-Hyun Lee and Theatre Mucheon/Ara Kim .
• Dance Camera Pandemania/Dance Camera Istanbul.
Since its establishment in 2007, Dance Cameral Istanbul has screened a wide variety of groundbreaking and acclaimed dance films by artists around the world. The Dance Camera Pandemania, started in 2021, becoming a “sister” event of the Dance Camera Istanbul Festival.

Investigation of the rituals and connections of understanding and equality for same-sex relations. The world has been designed on principles of vision and sexual division that is practiced in all the lenses and angles of the world. Vikó Tanta’á design a utopian world of the theme, in which gender identity and love preferences belong to the person. Exploring it through the lens of our own cultural identity, embracing inclusivity and equality. Teatro Morelos, Toluca México. November 2022.

Unfinished. Choreography created for UI Department of Dance Gala 22. Music, “Unfinished Symphony” by Schubert. Inspired by the article on Dr. E. Fuller Torrey, author of Surviving Schizophrenia, the article written by Michael Judge. This work is an exploration a tribute to survivors and homage to all those who did not survive their struggles with serious mental illness. Hancher Auditorium Theater, Iowa City.

HUMANOS. Choreography commission by the South Dakota Ballet, original music by Michael Wall. Washington Pavilion Arts Center, Sioux Falls, SD. This work was created 85% on Zoom meetings. Dancers were located on different time zones; the challenge was to create the movement materials and imagen the special structure of the work. This is the second choreographic work professor Barragan create via Zoom during COVID-19.
